Colonial Soccer Club Peter Hendrick Scholarship Award

Peter Hendrick was a long-time Colonial Soccer Club Men’s Player and Youth Coach who dedicated a lot of his time representing the Club in a positive manner in, and around, the community.  Pete died in 2009 and his youth team lobbied to name this award in his honor. 

Two (2) $2,000 awards (awarded on a one-time basis), a certificate of recognition and a plaque

Criteria

• Student must have been associated as a player, referee and/or coach with the Colonial Soccer Club for three (3) of the past five (5) years
• Student must be a Senior with a minimum, unweighted GPA of 3.5 (transcript required)
• Student must be able to substantiate, via a one-page essay, video (under 3 minutes in length), or other medium what Colonial Soccer has meant to them and how this interacted with the community. (Finalists may be interviewed by the committee)
• This scholarship is available to any individual who has definitive plans to attend any college/university, or a bona fide educational institution that follows high school
• The scholarship is not available to a student who has been awarded a full scholarship from the college/university, or bona fide educational institution of his/her choice
• Upon being awarded the scholarship, the check will be made out to each individual recipient
