Policy In Case of COVID-19 Exposure, Symptoms or Positive Test

What needs to done if any member of a household has symptoms, has had a Covid-19 exposure or has tested positive for Covid-19?

Who

A household is viewed as one by CSC, so if one member is exposed, has symptoms or tested positive then we consider your entire household to be that same status.

Positive test in your household

  • If one person in your household returns a positive test, you all need to stop all soccer activities
  • Immediately notify coach, covid liaison, and [email protected]
  • Complete CSC COVID-19 incident form and return to [email protected]
  • Even if a player or coach tests negative that lives with a positive household they can't return to soccer activity until quarantine is complete.
  • Receive clearance from CSC in order to return to soccer activities.

Exposure or Symptoms

  • Upon finding out that your household has been exposed you need to stop attending soccer activities immediately
  • If a household member is showing covid symptoms and requires a Covid-19 test you need to stop attending soccer activities.
  • Immediately notify coach, covid liaison, and [email protected]
  • Complete CSC COVID-19 incident form and return to [email protected]

When can we return to soccer activity?

Upon receiving clearance from Colonial Soccer Club COVID committee.

FAQS

If we are cleared by Montgomery County contact tracing can we return to soccer activities?

No, our policy requires the entire household to be cleared by our club.

Why is the CSC policy different than the county?

CSC has limited volunteer resources and cannot perform the same level of contact tracing. In addition the CSC policy was written, approved and submitted for contractual obligations with the townships and school district in August. Changes to this policy are only made out of necessity.

Should we wait to notify the club until we are tested?

No. If you have symptoms or an exposure you should let the club know as soon as possible. As volunteers, it is important that we have sufficient time to evaluate the situation and make an informed decision. Lack of time will result in more activities being postponed. Our number one goal has been to provide a safe environment to engage in soccer activities for all members of our soccer community.
