OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL SOCCER TRAINERS

Seeking highly motivated, soccer trainers to work with players and volunteer parent coaches in our Intramural Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Grade, U8 Academy and U9-U19 Travel Divisions.  

Colonial SC is dedicated to developing youth players in an environment that is safe and fun.  It is our mission to create an environment for players and families that provides developmentally appropriate training, competition, and programming for the multi-sport athlete.  

Applicants must be committed to working with the volunteer parent coaches to develop the technical and tactical abilities of Colonial SC players to their fullest potential while also emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, community responsibility, personal responsibility, and respect for self and others. 

Primary Duties:

  • Attend all training sessions for the respective age group to oversee and assist parent volunteer coaches
  • Follow & Support the Colonial Soccer Club Way & Club Philosophy
  • Follow and abide by Colonial Soccer Club Coaches Code of Conduct
  • Follow and abide by Colonial Soccer Club Coaching Non-Negotiables:
    • Be In Uniform – Look professional
    • Be On Time – Arrive before the arrival time scheduled for your players
    • Be Prepared – Written lesson plan for sessions provided by the club Technical Director, equipment needs, field assignments
    • Be Enthusiastic – Coaches and players will feed off your energy – or lack of it!
    • Be Attentive – No phone calls/texting or extended conversations with others during sessions/games
    • Be Available – Provide feedback, talk to parents often, send emails, work with Technical Director (TD) and Director of Coaching (DOC)
  • Always wear approved Colonial SC gear for all trainings, events, games, and tournaments
  • Communicate directly with TD/DOC regarding any variances with assigned weekly training. Forward all concerns, regardless of severity, in email form to the TD/DOC for assistance in resolution and record keeping.
  • Attend & participate in club academies, clinics, camps, training seminars, coaches’ meetings

Requirements:

  • Valid work authorization to work in the United States required.
  • All background checks that are required by EPYSA.
  • US Soccer D license or higher required (or equivalent United Soccer Coaches diploma).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
 
Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
