Select Teams

A Select Team is comprised of the top intramural players within a given age group. Select intramural teams play in one or more tournaments against other select intramural teams from other clubs.

The number of teams and number of players on a select team is limited. Players must tryout to be chosen or selected.

Carded (travel) players whether they play travel for Colonial SC or any other Travel soccer club or team will NOT be allowed to tryout, be rostered or chosen for a Select team.

Costs:

The player fee is $35.00. This includes a Select Team shirt, which the player keeps, and that cost will pay for one (1) tournament for each Select team. Additional player fees will vary by team, depending on how many additional tournaments are entered. Each player on the team will equally fund the cost of participating in any additional tournaments.

Commitment

Players for Select teams will be required to:

Attend additional practices and training.
Commit to one or more tournaments.
Participation in tournaments will require travel.
Participation in tournaments may require more than one day to complete competition. (Some tournaments are one day, some are two or more days.)

Please review these requirements before committing to play on a Select team. Players that can’t make the commitment should not tryout.

NOTE to Coaches Attending Tournaments

Please read and understand each tournaments’ rules and regulations. The tournament rules mostly likely will be different than some of our intramural rules; i.e. one example, when you will be allowed player substitutions.
